Abstract

In this essay, we introduce thought mining as a strategy for making transformative shifts to the way a person thinks by constructing meaningful insights from vast arrays of thoughts through deliberate processes of noticing and interacting with what is resonating in their mind.

The idea in brief

Thought mining is the act of extracting meaningful insights from an array of thoughts by noticing and contemplating the ones that resonate. The term borrows from data mining, where analysis pulls meaning out of a large data set. A thought mine is the array of thoughts you dig through, and a thought miner is someone who practices it. This show is that practice, done out loud: one thought, thirty minutes.
